Learn how to connect your Cox-provided WiFi modem with a wireless connection.
Complete the following steps to connect additional computers to the Cox home gateways using wireless. If you have not connected your first computer as a wired connection, refer to Connecting a Modem With an Ethernet Connection.
- Locate the SSID of the wireless network printed on the label of your WiFi modem. If you need help in finding the label, see Cox Compatible Cable Modems for a list of all devices and locate your device. The label can be found within the article of your device.
- Select the SSID on the new computer's wireless network application.
Result: A request for the passphrase displays.
Note: The wireless passphrase is case sensitive.
