Auto-Configuration Steps 

Use the following steps to add your Cox.net email account to your iPhone or iPad. Your device automatically detects and configures your email account settings after entering your Cox.net email account login information.

Note: These steps may vary for different models or versions.
 

  1. From the iPhone or iPad home screen, tap Settings.
  2. On the Settings screen, tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  3. Tap Add Account.
  4. On the Add Account screen, tap Other.
  5. Tap Add Mail Account.
  6. On the New Account screen, enter the following information.
    • Name
    • Cox.net Email Address
    • Password
    • Description
  7. Tap Next.
  8. Tap Save.

    Result: Your Cox.net email account is configured to send and receive email messages on your device.

Manual Steps 

If your device does not automatically configure the correct settings for your Cox.net email account, use the following steps to add your Cox.net email account manually.

Note: These steps may vary for different models or versions.
 

  1. From the iPhone or iPad home screen, tap Settings.
  2. On the Settings screen, tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  3. Tap Add Account.
  4. On the Add Account screen, tap Other.
  5. Tap Add Mail Account.
  6. On the New Account screen, enter the following information.
    • Name
    • Cox.net Email Address
    • Password
    • Description
  7. Tap POP or IMAP.
  8. Under Incoming Mail Server, enter the following information.
    • Host Name - Your incoming mail server.

      Note: Refer to Email Server Names to confirm server names.
       

    • User Name - The first part of your Cox.net email address without the @cox.net.
    • Password - Your Cox.net email password.
  9. Under Outgoing Mail Server, enter the following information.

    Note: Although the User Name and Password fields show as optional, these are required to send Cox.net email on your device.
     
    • Host Name - Your outgoing mail server.

      Note: Refer to Email Server Names to confirm server names.
       

    • User Name - The first part of your Cox.net email address without the @cox.net.
    • Password - Your Cox.net email password.
  10. Tap Save.
