The Netgear CMD31T is a DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem.


Front View

Initially it will take at least 15 minutes for your Netgear CMD31T cable modem to be successfully registered on the network. After the modem registers with the Cable Internet Service Provider, the following LEDs should be lit:

POWER LED: solid green
ONLINE LED: solid green
 

If the Power LED is not solid green, check your power adaptor connections.

The Netgear CMD31T has the following ports available on the back of the modem:

  • POWER - Connects the cable modem to the power adapter.
  • REBOOT - Restores factory settings.
  • ETHERNET - Connects to the Ethernet port.
  • CABLE - Connects to coaxial cable with broadband.

MAC Address Label

MAC addresses are written as 12 digits containing both letters and numbers (0-9, A-F). A MAC address is unique. The first six characters of the MAC address are unique to the manufacturer of the device.
