The Netgear WNR2000 has the following ports available on the back of the router:
- Power - Connects the router to the power adapter.
- Power (On/Off) - Button to turn the router on or off.
- Internet - Connects the router to the cable modem.
- Ethernet (1-4) - Connects to the Ethernet port on your computer(s).
- Reset - Used to reset the router.
|Power||Solid Green||None. The router is powered on.|
|Flashing Green||The router firmware is corrupted.||To restore your firmware:|
Note: If the light is a fast blink, then a software update is in progress.
|Flashing Amber||The router has a problem.||If the Power light is still amber 1 minute after turning on power to the router, then turn the power off and back on to see if the router recovers.|
|Off||No power||Verify power supply connections and electrical outlet. Also make sure the outlet is not connected to a switch.|
|Internet||Solid Green||None. There is a connection made through the Internet port.||N/A|
|Flashing Green||None. There is network activity over the Internet port.||N/A|
|Solid Amber||No IP address has been acquired.||If the Internet light is still amber one minute after turning on power to the router, then the Internet is not accessible. Confirm Internet settings and turn the power off and back on to see if the router recovers.|
|Off||No devices are connected.||Verify all cable connections and the power is on to the connected computer and try resetting the modem.|
|Wireless||Solid Blue||None. Wireless feature is enabled.||N/A|
|Flashing Blue||None. The router is actively sending or receiving data over the network.||N/A|
|Off||None. Wireless feature is turned off.||N/A|
|LAN 1-4||Solid Green||None. The router is successfully connected to a device through that port and communicating at 100 Mbps.||N/A|
|Solid Amber||None. The router is successfully connected to a device through that port and communicating at 10 Mbps.||N/A|
|Off||No Ethernet found.||Verify Ethernet cable connections and the power is on to the connected computer.|
