The following steps will walk you through connecting your WiFi enabled device to your In-Home network. You will need to know your network name (SSID) and password. If you don't remember the login information, use the steps in Finding Your In-Home WiFi Network SSID or Password.

Wireless speed performance may vary between devices, depending on each device's wireless technology. For more information, refer to Ways to Improve Your In-Home WiFi Network.

Due to the numerous WiFi devices and configurations available, Cox is only able to provide basic settings for the most common household devices. For additional assistance, refer to the user manual for your device.

Device or Operating SystemSteps to Enable WiFiSteps To Connect to the In-Home WiFi Network
Apple iOS
  1. Tap Settings.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi.
  3. If Wi-Fi is set to OFF, tap the slider button to turn it on.
  1. Tap Settings.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi.
  3. Tap your network name from the list of available networks (SSIDs).
  4. Enter the network password.
  5. Tap OK.
Android
  1. Touch the Settings icon.
  2. Touch Wireless & networks and / or Wi-Fi.
  3. If turned off, tap Wi-Fi to turn it on.

    Note: Settings and menu options may vary between manufacturers and Android versions. Refer to your device owner’s manual for specific steps.
  1. Tap Scan to search for available networks.
  2. Tap your network name from the list of available networks (SSIDs).
  3. Enter the network password.
  4. Tap Connect.
Kindle Fire
  1. Tap Quick Settings or Wireless.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi.
  3. If Wi-Fi is set to OFF, tap ON to turn it on.
  1. Tap Quick Settings or Wireless.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi.
  3. Tap your network name from the list of available networks (SSIDs).
  4. Enter the network password.
Windows 8
  1. From the App list, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi.
  3. Make sure Wi-Fi networking is set to On.
  1. From the App list, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi.
  3. Select your network name from the list of available networks (SSIDs).
  4. Enter the network password.
  5. Tap Done.
Windows 10
  1. From the App list, tap Settings.
  2. Click Network & Internet.
  3. Click Wi-Fi.
  4. Make sure Wi-Fi networking is set to On.
  1. From the System Tray, click the Network icon.
  2. Select your network name from the list of available networks (SSIDs).
  3. Enter the network password.
  4. Tap Next.
