How to Secure Access to Your Account

Follow these steps to create a secret question and answer, which can be used if you lose your PIN, or to update your email address (so that we can notify you by email every time a change was made to your account), or to suppress your PIN from printing on your bill.


  1. Go to www.cox.com
  2. Click My Connection.
  3. Log in with your User ID and Password.
  4. Click My Account.
  5. Click View More Profile Options.

  6. Click Security Preferences.

  7. Create the following:
    • Secret Question
    • Secret Answer
    • A current Email Address
    • Preferences

  8. Click Continue to complete the process.

    All steps complete.
