CABLE TELEVISION ADVISORY COMMITTEE

 

NOTICE OF FUNDING AVAILABILITY

 

 

 

To Whom It May Concern:

 

You are hereby notified that the Omaha Cable Television Advisory Committee is now accepting applications for consideration for funding through the Cable Television Interconnect Fee Grant Fund.

 

The purpose of the grant is to fund projects that will promote and assist public, community and governmental access programming efforts in the Cox Communications and Qwest Choice TV service areas.

 

Applications may be picked up at the City Council Office, 1819 Farnam Street, Room LC-1.  Application and criteria information is also available on the City of Omaha website at http://www.ci.omaha.ne.us.  Applications may be prepared electronically, but a paper copy must be mailed or delivered to the City Council office as a signature is required.  If you have any questions, please call Council Staff Assistant Rod Austin at 444-4567.

 

Applications must be received in the office of the Omaha City Council by the close of business (4:30 p.m.) on Tuesday, June 1, 2004.  Applications should be submitted to Rod Austin, Omaha City Council Staff Assistant, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, Room LC-1, Omaha, Nebraska, 68183.

 

All applications will be reviewed and ranked by the Interconnect Grant Fund Committee and, from that ranking, selected applications will be forwarded to the Cable Television Advisory Committee for review.

 

The Cable Television Advisory Committee will then review all rankings submitted to them, and recommend selected applications to the Omaha City Council for consideration and approval.
