HD Service Requirements

What will I need to get HD Service from Cox?
In order to view High-Definition programming you will need:

• An HD Capable TV
• An HD Receiver

In order to view HD programming, you’ll need an HD-capable television set. You will be able to lease the equipment necessary to view HDTV signals delivered via Cox Digital Cable. To work with our first generation HDTV offering, your HDTV set or monitor must have a YPbPr component input.

	Special Instructions High Definition Minimum Requirements - Consult your HDTV owners manual: Must Have HD capable or ready television. Must be capable of receiving 1080i HD signal. The SA 3250 HD Receiver (OKC) and Motorola 5100/6200 HD Receiver (Tulsa) have YPbPr connections. Must have a minimum of 2 unused electrical outlets available near the HDTV set or a power strip. The HDTV set top needs a dedicated electrical outlet. These outlets are needed in addition to those needed for the TV and any additional components.(VCR, DVD, Stereo, Etc) Technicians will connect the HDTV receiver to the Home Theater/Surround Sound System that is already installed and working in the home. Cox technicians are not trained to program home theater systems. We will supply a connection up to 12' to the system, but will not be able to program the system, if it is required.If distance is greater than 12', the customer will be responsible for supplying the necessary cable at the time of installation.

* Televisions and other consumer owned devices equipped with a CableCARD may require a digital set top receiver in order to receive all programming options offered by Cox Digital Cable. HDTV receiver and remote required. Cox Basic service required for local HD channels. Cox Digital Cable and Expanded Basic required for expanded basic HD channels. Cox Digital Cable and paid subscription to Digital HBO, Starz, Showtime or a Cox Digital service level required for HBO HD, Cinemax HD, Starz HD, Showtime HD or other digital channels' HD programming. An HDTV receiver or CableCard and an HDTV set required. Standard HDTV installation includes the installation of the HDTV receiver to one HDTV set. Other installation, reconnection, or service charges may apply. All programming and pricing are subject to change.
