Like other companies serving the public, Cox Communications has experienced widespread outages and other problems as a result of the devastating and unprecedented ice storm impacting our Oklahoma service area. Please know that our crews are working around the clock to restore service as quickly as possible, and we have brought in significant additional resources to help handle the service issues we now face. Thank you for your continued patience. Cox will keep our crews in the field and at work until every customer’s service is fully restored.

When will my Cox services be restored?

Cox is committed to restoring your services as soon as possible. Our crews are working around the clock to repair the storm damage. Most Cox outages mirror those of the electric utilities and we are working hand in hand with those companies to restore service in all areas. Once commercial power is restored, many customers may regain access to Cox service.

Will my services automatically be restored once commercial power comes back?

While your services may be regained with commercial power, you may need to reboot your digital box and/or cable modem. To do this, unplug the electrical cord from the device or the wall outlet. Wait a couple of minutes and then plug the device back in and power on the equipment. If these steps are unsuccessful, please contact customer service.

Do I need to call Cox if my service is out?

In most cases, we are aware of the areas where service is down. If you do not have commercial power, please be patient. Once your power comes back, you may regain your Cox service and you may need to reboot your digital box and/or cable modem. To do this, unplug the electrical cord from the device or the wall outlet. Wait a couple of minutes and then plug the device back in and power on the equipment. If these steps are unsuccessful, please contact customer service.

What do I do if my cable is working but not my other services?
