Have an active Cox cable outlet within 15 feet of where your computer
will be located
Install a splitter and coaxial cable from an active cable outlet
Have an installed Network Interface Card (NIC) in the computer or
an available USB port with Windows 98 SE or above
NOTE: If you purchase
your modem from a retail store, you will need to contact a
Cox customer care representative and provide the serial number
and MAC address of the modem before it can be activated. Make
sure that your cable modem purchased is on the Cox
Supported modem list.
If you aren't able to complete the install
yourself, and a Cox technician has to return to your home,
there is a charge. The charge will be the current price of
professional install less the price of Fast Connect Kit.
There is no charge if the problem is related to the Cox network.
