Will my DVR allow me to watch and record high definition (HD)
programs? 
Yes! You can receive HD programs on your DVR system.You can even
record HD programs. However, you will need an HD television or HD
monitor to view the programs in high definition.
Can Pay Per View (PPV) or Entertainment on Demand (EOD)
programs be recorded? 
PPV programs may be recorded after they have been purchased. Once a PPV
program has been recorded, you can use VCR-like controls similar to viewing
an EOD program. Currently, EOD programs cannot be recorded on your DVR.
How do I know when my DVR's hard disk drive is getting full? 
By default, your DVR system automatically erases programs when disk
space is needed to record new programs, so you don't need to worry
about making space for new programs.
How do I prevent my DVR from automatically erasing programs
when it needs more space? 
To make sure a specific program is not automatically erased when more
space is needed, use the recording options in the Saved Shows screen and
set the program to "save until manually erased."
How many recordings can I schedule? 
The DVR can store up to 50 hours of programming on the 120GB hard
drive.The amount of programming varies depending on whether the show
is in high-definition, digital or analog. High-definition programs will take up
more hard drive space than digital or analog programs.
What happens if I schedule several programs to record that all
start at the same time? 
Your DVR system handles these types of conflicts by giving highest priority
to single instance and manual recordings.Then, first preference for series
recordings is determined by the order in which they appear in the Series
Manager screen. Programs at the top of the list have higher priority than
programs at the bottom of the list.To change the priority of a series, press
SELECT on a series program title, then choose the "Series Recording
Priority" option in the Series Manager screen.
After I schedule a recording, can I adjust the start and end times
of the recording? 
Yes! You can have the recording begin up to 10 minutes early, or end up to
3 hours later than the scheduled broadcast.You can change this setting in
the Record Options dialog in the Guide, the Saved Shows, Scheduled
Recording or Series Manager screens.
Can I watch a recording-in-progress from the beginning of the program? 
Yes! If you are recording a live program, you can view any portion of it up
to the "live" point.
Can I make a VHS copy of my recordings? 
Yes! Set up your VCR to record like you were watching live TV, then begin
playback of a previously recorded program.
Can I automatically record all episodes of a program without
having to schedule individual recordings? 
Yes! When you create a recording, you will have the option to "record
entire series." The Series Manager also has several options that will allow
you to record first run, or repeat episodes, record the program when it airs
on different channels or different times.You can even choose the number of
programs of a particular series you want to record.
If there a limit to how far back I can rewind live TV program? 
You can rewind live TV up to a maximum of 1 hour.
Is there a limit to how long I can pause a program? 
Yes,You can pause a program for up to 1 hour. A program will resume
playback if it is paused for 1 hour.
What is Instant Replay? 
Instant replay is an easy way to replay the previous 8 seconds of a program.
Each time you press the "instant replay" button, playback will begin 8 seconds
before the current position in the program.
Can I watch a program while recording a different program? 
Yes. you can record a program while watching a previously recorded program.
If I press the REC button after a program has started, will my
DVR record the entire program? 
Yes, but only if you have been tuned to the channel since the program began and the program duration is under 1 hour.
