Q1. What is the Seasonal Saver Plan?
A1. The Seasonal Saver Plan is a service that allows Video customers that are planning to be away from their primary residence will have worry free service at a reduced monthly rate with additional savings on reconnect/installation fees.  Cox High-speed Internet customers, will also have retention and access to email addresses and personal webspace, using any web based browser other than at their unoccupied primary residence.  Cox Digital Telephone customers will retain their phone number, and even check their voicemails remotely while gone!  The plan is available for a minimum of two months to a maximum of six months.

Q2. What are the benefits of the Seasonal Saver Plan for me?
A2. The Seasonal Saver Plan provides many benefits:

  • Cost saving alternative to disconnecting and reinstalling services.
  • Fast, convenient reinstatement of services upon return.
  • Discounted monthly rate keeps services active and saves you time and money.
  • You will not need to pay for reinstallation on your return or wait for a technician to reinstall you.
  • Combined bills mean only one bill each month while you are gone – with an additional EasyPay option for one automatic payment each month.
  • You will not need to return equipment when you leave, or pick it up when you return.
  • Previously recorded programming will remain on your DVR box.
  • You will be able to keep and use your email address. Use is available via any web connected browser through http://webmail.cox.net .
  • You will be able to keep your webspace up and running. You can even update it using any web connected browser through www.support.cox.net , other than at primary residence.
  • You will be able to keep your phone number and continue to check your voicemails remotely while you are gone.

Q3. Are there any restrictions?
A3. Yes.

  • You must be current on your account.
  • Your account will go to the Seasonal Saver Plan within 3 days of your request.
  • You must provide an intended date of return.
  • The residence must be UNOCCUPIED during the seasonal period.
  • You must not be on a current campaign that discounts your monthly services. We can remove the campaign from your account, but you will not be eligible for any remaining discounts upon your return.

Q4. Is there an activation fee for the Seasonal Saver Plan?
A4. No, activation and deactivation of the Seasonal Saver Plan is completely free.

Q5. What is the pricing for the Seasonal Saver Plan?
A5. The price is $9.95 per month for the Seasonal Saver Plan for Cox High Speed Internet service or Cox Digital Cable service, or $10.95 per month for Cox Digital Telephone service only. Take advantage of even bigger savings if you have bundled services with Cox. The Seasonal Saver Plan is only $16.95 per month for any two Cox services and a low $21.95 per month for all three Cox services. If you are renting a modem from Cox, then the rental fee will be waived while you are on the Seasonal Saver Plan.

Q6. How often can I sign up for the Seasonal Saver Plan?
A6. You may use the Seasonal Saver Plan only once per rolling 12-month period.

Q7. How do I restore my services once the Seasonal Saver Plan has been activated?
A7. It’s automatic! On the date your Seasonal Saver Plan expires your service will be restored to your original level and the billing will automatically be restored as well. If you return home early from your extended travel or break, then simply give us a call and we will reset the internet connection speed and restore your previous services at that time.

Q8. Does this plan include a dial-up ISP?
A8. No, Cox does not have a dial-up service offering.

Q9. Can I use my purchased cable modems at another location while active in a Seasonal Saver Plan?
A9. No. Modems should remain connected at the service address to remain provisioned.

Q10. What if I am temporarily going to another Cox system?
A10. You will need a separate account at that location. Our equipment cannot be utilized out of our market. While a modem purchased at a retail location can be utilized, the modem will have to released from the account and a call will be necessary to re-add the modem when you return. We recommend using an alternate modem for your convenience.

Q11. What happens when the Seasonal Saver Plan term expires?
A11. We will restore your account to previous services. Regular monthly rates will apply.

Q12. How do I restore my long distance package and other phone features?
A12. When you return home from your extended travel or break then simply give us a call and we will restore your Cox Digital Telephone service to the previous level, or any level of service you choose.
