Cox 11 Airs United Negro College Fund "An Evening of Stars" Tribute to Patti LaBelle
Special guests include Brian McKnight, Fantasia, Mario, Kobe Bryant among others
Chesapeake, VA — Cox 11 will present "An Evening of Stars® Tribute to Patti LaBelle' on January 25, from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. the celebration features a tribute with a purpose as the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) honors Patti LaBelle with the prestigious Award of Excellence for her music career and humanitarian services.
"Cox 11 is proud to present this special show and help raise awareness for the UNCF. As your community channel, we offer programs that inspire the people of Hampton Roads to support activities dedicated to furthering education," said Leigh Woisard, Vice President of Government and Public Affairs for Cox Hampton Roads.
Ms. LaBelle is the sixth recipient of the UNCF Award of Excellence. Previous honorees have included Smokey Robinson, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones and the late Lou Rawls. Among the celebrities honoring her include Fantasia, Mario, Yolanda Adams, Brian McKnight, Chrisette Michele, Kobe Bryant, Shemar Moore, Duane Martin, Tom Joyner, Mo'Nique and many more.
