Cox 11 "Yule Log" Run During Holiday Programming

Chesapeake, VA — The "Yule Log" program is a tradition that began at WPIX in New York City in 1966 as a gift to the many city-dwellers who lived in apartments and homes without fireplaces. The first program was a 17-second loop and aired on Christmas Eve. The Cox 11 Yule Log is a 30 minute loop taped on location at the Williamsburg Lodge and is presented without commercial interruption.

"We are delighted to have the chance to deliver this holiday tradition that many people are familiar with, and we hope that Cox can help make the Christmas holiday a festive and joyful occasion for our customers," said Gary McCollum, Senior Vice President and General Manager Cox Hampton Roads.
