Cox to Launch Four HD Channels July 24 in Norfolk; Cox Also to Offer Extensive Olympics Coverage in HD

Two HD channels will be dedicated 100% to HD Olympics coverage and an additional 780 hours of HD Olympics coverage will be available

Hampton Roads, VA – Cox Communications continues to expand its High Definition line-up with the launch of four more HD channels on July 24 for the City of Norfolk. Those channels are:

These channels will be made available to other Hampton Roads communities in the weeks ahead.

Also, for the 2008 Summer Olympics, Cox will dedicate two channels to 100% Olympics coverage in HD. The NBC Olympic Soccer Channel will broadcast in HD from August 6 through 23 on channel 716. The NBC Olympic Basketball Channel will broadcast in HD from August 9 through 24 on channel 717.

In addition, Cox will broadcast 780 hours of Olympics coverage in HD on four HD channels. Those channels are:
