Joe Bouchard Joins Cox as Director of Government Sales
Hampton Roads, VA – Joseph F. Bouchard, Ph.D., has joined Cox Communications as Director of Government Sales.
Michael Braham, Vice President Cox Business, said, “We are pleased to have Joe join us. He brings a wealth of experience in government relations. We believe that the combination of his business and governmental experience will be important for Cox as we strive to provide more important services to the jurisdictions of the region.”
Dr. Bouchard was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates in November 2007 representing the 83rd District in Virginia Beach. He serves on the Science and Technology Committee; the Agriculture, Chesapeake and Natural Resources Committee; the Governor’s Commission on Climate Change; and the Joint Committee on At-Risk Youth. He retired from the United States Navy as a Captain in 2003 after twenty-seven years active duty.
Dr. Bouchard graduated with distinction from the U.S. Naval Academy, where he majored in International Security Affairs. He earned a Master of Arts degree in National Security Affairs from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science from Stanford University, concentration in international relations and strategic studies.
Finally, Dr. Bouchard serves on the Boards of Directors of the Virginia Maritime Association, the CIVIC Leadership Institute, and Future Hampton Roads. He also serves on the Hampton Roads Partnership’s Regional Planning Committee, the Advisory Committee for the Maritime Institute at Old Dominion University, and the Advisory Committee for the WHRO Center for Regional Citizenship.
