Cox Communications Black History Arts Festival

February and March 2008, Cox will host its annual Cox Black History Arts Festival: Celebrating Our African American Heritage. This festival “celebrates our African American Heritage” and will feature art works and performances by area artists.

One of the important aspects of the festival is the Student Art Competition opened to elementary though high school students in Escambia, Okaloosa, and S. Walton counties. Click here to see the winning artwork.

The winners of the Tribute to African Americans In History essay contest were taped reciting excerpts from their essays and these spots are airing throughout February on over 30 networks carried by Cox Gulf Coast. Click here to watch the essay winners.

Area artists and vendors can download, print and complete Booth Reservation and Performance Entry forms and then return to designated organization.
