Cox Communications. Your friend in the digital age.

At Cox, we believe in, and actively stand behind our vision to be the most trusted provider of communication and entertainment services in America. Technology has changed over the nearly 30 years we have been in the local community, but our customer service remains the same. Cox was the first cable operator to offer telephone and the bundle, and now offers the full array of advanced telecommunication services.

Cox has a tradition of employees actively involved in the communities we serve.  13 percent of Cox Cleveland’s employees have been with our company for more than 15 years, and four percent of our employees have been with Cox for more than 25 years. That’s because they believe in our company and enjoy living and working in the communities we serve.

Our employees serve on non-profit boards and participate in a variety of activities and events. In addition to personal time spent volunteering, Cox Cleveland supports employees’ volunteer efforts by offering employees paid time off to serve the community.

As a sampling, last year leaders from our company actively served on the following boards: Lakewood Charitable Assistance Corporation, Cornucopia, the Olmsted Chamber, Beck Center for the Arts, JD Breast Cancer Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland and Hospice & Palliative Care Partners of Ohio.  Cox was also involved with organizations such as H2O, the Cassidy Theater, Relay for Life, AIDS Walk Cleveland, the Hunger Network of Cleveland, People to People, the North Union Farmers Market and the Olmsted Historical Society, to name a few. From participating in fundraising initiatives to donating products and services and airtime, Cox is an active community partner for many worthwhile organizations.

In addition to our annual Cox Connects Day where several Cox Cleveland employees participated in our national annual day of service, helping to paint and beautify the Ridgewood Family YMCA, we also made a big difference in many communities.

We appreciate the opportunity to be a part of the local community and to serve our customers.

Cox is committed to bringing our customers the most advanced technology for the ultimate customer experience. We also believe in being actively involved in the communities we serve.

In 2007, Cox supported our local communities with nearly $3 million in franchise fees, cash and complimentary contributions including broadcast time, volunteer efforts, community partnerships, public service announcements and production. We offer complimentary services to local schools and municipal buildings, but we are even more proud of our active community involvement. Being part of the communities we live and work in is an important part of the Cox Communications culture.

Cox Cleveland is proud to share our annual community report with you. As you look through this report, you will see our commitments to the community are as varied as our employees and the customers we serve. Our community involvement reflects our intent to be your most trusted provider of communication and entertainment services.

Our employees are proud to live and work in our local communities and our company is involved because it’s simply the right thing to do! Please contact Stacie Schafer at 216.535.3345 or stacie.schafer@cox.com if you have a community event or organization that needs support in the community. Maybe next year, you’ll be in the community report!

Thank you for allowing us to be involved in your community. Cox has been a community partner for nearly 30 years and we look forward to continuing to be “Your Friend in the Digital Age.”
