Analog receivers are outdated technology and no longer supported if something goes wrong with the receiver. Also, this will allow us to free up bandwidth to make room for more channels and exciting new products and services. This will allow Cox to continue to deliver the services and products our customers desire.

Do I need to purchase a new television to view the new all-digital lineup with Cox?
No. Cox Digital Cable works with your current television. All you need to view the channels in an all-digital format is a Cox digital receiver connected to your TV.

Is digital the same as high definition?
No. While digital programming has an enhanced picture quality, HDTV has higher resolution which leads to which leads to sharper, clearer pictures. The pixels in HDTV are closely packed together to provide a highly detailed picture.

Do I have to do anything to receive the digital line up?
If you are not currently a Cox Digital Cable customer, you'll need to upgrade to digital cable.

What about televisions that are not connected to a digital receiver?
Any TV that is connected to a cable outlet will continue to show the channel lineup in analog format and on the same channel placement as it is seen today.

Once the offer expires, Digital Gateway is $5.99 per month and Digital more is $12.99 per month, plus the cost of the receiver. Plus, digital cable is free on all additional outlets!
