Andrea Katsenes serves as the Director of Media Relations for Cox Communications Arizona. In this role, Andrea is responsible for media and public relations surrounding Cox products and services.
Andrea came to Cox from Edelman Public Relations Worldwide in Chicago where she was a vice president heading up the Tourism and Lifestyle practice. While at Edelman, she was the senior strategist for clients such as Boeing, Illinois Bureau of Tourism, Virgin Airlines and Cranium games.
Andrea began her career in Washington, D.C., serving on the staffs of the Honorable Eldon Rudd (Congressional District Four-AZ) and Jay Rhodes (Congressional District One-AZ). She returned to Arizona to pursue politics on the state level, working in government affairs at Quarles & Brady and was soon invited to join Governor Fife Symington’s staff as Special Assistant for Special Projects. Continuing her service to the Governor, she was appointed Director of Communications for the Arizona Lottery. While at the Lottery, Andrea oversaw internal communications, government and public relations.
Andrea currently serves on the Boards of Fresh Start and Phoenix Day and is a Commissioner on the City of Phoenix’s Planning and Zoning Board.
Past committee leadership roles include Junior League, Phoenix Suns Charities Ball, Phoenix 20/30 Club, Phoenix Theatre/Phoenix Follies and the Los Angeles Olympic Committee’s Protocol Committee. She also represented the American Council of Young Political Leaders as a member of the delegation to China.
A graduate of the University of Southern California, she holds a bachelors degree in Communications.
