PHOENIXNov. 10, 2008 – Cox Communications has reclaimed the highest customer satisfaction ranking in Western region among Internet service providers according to the J.D. Power and Associates' 2008 Internet Service Provider Residential Customer Satisfaction StudySM. Cox attributes its success this year to recent increased speeds (without increasing price), introducing its new PowerBoost technology and upgrading its network statewide. The study measures customer satisfaction among 12 providers in the West.

Customers gave Cox the highest rating in overall satisfaction, which is comprised of factors such as: performance and reliability; cost of service; customer service; billing; offerings and promotions. Cox specifically stood out in the areas of performance, reliability and billing. Cox outperformed AT&T, Verizon, Qwest in overall satisfaction, customer service and billing.

In the last six years, Cox has received highest rankings in 16 J.D. Power and Associates Customer Satisfaction studies for telephone, video, high-speed Internet and commercial data. “Cox’s commitment to customer service is the key to its success,” said Ivan Johnson, vice president of community relations and TeleVideo, Cox Communications-Arizona.

“Customers clearly prefer the speeds, features and reliability of Cox High Speed Internet over that of the competition,” said Ivan Johnson, vice president of Community Relations and Televideo, Cox-Arizona. “This latest recognition demonstrates that we’re listening to what our customers have to say and are providing them the high-quality Internet service they expect in today’s highly competitive marketplace,” added Johnson.
