KPHO CBS 5 and Cox Communications present 3rd year of March Madness Multicast
All NCAA Basketball games to be broadcast live on cable TV

Phoenix, AZ (March 13, 2008) – KPHO CBS 5 and partner Cox Communications announced today they will again bring back live broadcasts of all 63 games from the NCAA basketball tournament “March Madness.”

The announcement was made by CBS 5 Vice President and General Manager Steve Hammel. “Viewer response to our March Madness multicast the last two years was so positive we knew we wanted to do it again this year,” he said. “We’re pleased that Cox Communications teamed up with us once again to offer this exceptional event to our viewers and their customers. This partnership will allow Valley basketball fans to watch the game of their choice,” added Hammel.

This year’s tournament begins Thursday, March 20th and concludes with the championship game on Monday April 7th. Viewers will have the opportunity to watch their choice of all 63 games offered on CBS.

“We are pleased to offer Valley fans the entire NCAA ‘March Madness’ basketball tournament over four channels,” said Ivan Johnson, vice president of community relations & televideo for Cox Communications Arizona.

CBS 5 and Cox are using the power of digital technology to provide this multicast on four separate channels so viewers can select the game of their choice or move from game to game. Just for the duration of the NCAA games, and to accommodate them, Cox will launch one new channel (channel 86). All games can be viewed on Cox channels 5, 705, 85 and 86. Also, beginning Thursday, March 27th many of the NCAA games will be available in high definition on Cox channel 705.

You can watch the multicast if you are a Cox digital customer or if you have a digital television with an antenna. For those viewers that do not have access to Cox, KPHO CBS 5 is working with other area cable providers to offer this event to their customers.
