Cox Business helps fans and media 'catch' the NFL experience
Cox customers can watch the game in high definition
PHOENIX – Cox Business is working diligently right now to make sure that when hundreds of thousands of NFL fans enter those huge tents on the grounds of University of Phoenix Stadium for the Super Bowl, that top-notch, reliable telecommunications services, such as Cox high speed Internet, digital phone service and cable television are available.
Cox will provide approximately 800 phone lines, up to 200 high speed Internet connections and cable TV for the NFL's popular events housed in the massive tents outside of the stadium, such as 'The NFL Experience.' These events attract hundreds of thousands of football fans from around the world. Cox Business will also provide the bandwidth necessary to broadcast the Super Bowl worldwide. And that is not all. Cox is providing cable TV to the Phoenix Convention Center – the hub for the hundreds of media members who will descend on the Valley to cover the Super Bowl.
“Cox is proud to be an important part of this exciting event. It was a natural extension of our relationship with the Arizona Cardinals and University of Phoenix to provide services for the Super Bowl. We have invested heavily in our network to deliver the highest quality communications services for our community and to many of the premier events and venues across the Valley," said vice president of Cox Business, Mike Petty.
Cox Business is the chosen provider of telecommunications products to the stadium too, which is equipped with Cox high speed Internet, digital phone service and digital cable television.
The game will be broadcast locally on Fox 10, which means it can be seen in high definition on Cox cable channel 710. Also, during the week leading up to the Super Bowl, Cox will insert the NFL Network into its high definition lineup on channel 734. The NFL Network can already be seen locally on Cox cable channel 162.
Cox Business is a full-service, facilities-based provider of communications solutions for commercial customers and has received the highest honor in J.D. Power and Associates’ 2006 Major Provider Business Telecommunications Services StudySM – Data for highest customer satisfaction among small/midsize business data service providers in the nation.
