About Cox Charities

Cox Charities is committed to building, strengthening and investing in metropolitan and rural Arizona communities by raising and granting funds and mobilizing employee giving and selfless service.

Since its inception, more than $2 million in grants has been awarded to non-profit organizations that impact our community primarily through youth education programs.

In addition, Cox employees generously give of themselves through volunteerism, board participation and donations, enriching the communities where we live and work.

2009 Funding Cycle Grant Applicant Information

Cox Charities grants-based funding is available to non-profit organizations serving the greater Phoenix, Tucson, Sierra Vista/Cochise County and Casa Grande communities. Grants typically range from $2,000 to $15,000 and are intended for youth (K-12) education programs involving science and technology, arts and culture, safe and healthy lifestyles, overcoming disabilities, mentoring, literacy, leadership development, social skills development, and other areas benefiting youth. Cox Charities only funds activities that are directly related to the provision of services. Funding will NOT be awarded for capital expenditures or general operations, or for the provision of healthcare/therapy services, basic needs, entertainment, or socialization/recreation. Funding will also not be awarded to pass-through organizations raising funds on behalf of other agencies.
