Economic Outlook 2009

Watch Economic Outlook for 2009 on Cox7-AZ and share your opinions about local economic issues using the interactive voting feature on your Cox Digital Cable remote control.

The half hour program, “Doing More for Arizona – Economic Outlook 2009”, will focus on important economic issues in one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the nation - Arizona. Viewers watching the program will be asked to take part in a live opinion poll about these issues. Using interactive polling technology, digital cable customers in the Greater Phoenix and Greater Tucson metropolitan areas will be able to vote using their remotes.

Here’s how it works: Periodically throughout the educational program, statements about economic issues will appear at the bottom of the screen like, “Affordable housing in the Valley is a large problem, a moderate problem or not a problem” or, “The water supply is a major problem, a small problem or not a problem.” Viewers can register their responses by pressing one of three buttons on their remote control. Opinions will be recorded by Cox Communications using new interactive polling technology.

Affordable housing and real estate

Responses to these statements will be compared and contrasted by O’Neil and Associates data analysis firm and presented at the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce’s Economic Outlook 2009 breakfast in September of this year. Results will also be shared in Southern Arizona at the TREO Annual Luncheon and Economic Outlook in October.
