Cox Connect with Kids offers Arizona schools a unique, multimedia curriculum package to address character and safe & drug free issues in both schools and communities. The program incorporates in-class curriculum, exclusive web-content, and on-air programming to help improve school and community climate. Cox works with local partner schools to create a weekly television show that addresses timely issues, including bullying, discrimination, eating disorders, community service and overcoming disabilities.

"Warning Signs "

Depression, anxiety, thoughts of suicide…many health care professionals argue that these mental health problems afflict more of our children today that ever, and many of these kids are undiagnosed. One study reports nearly a third of teens say they have felt sad or hopeless for at least two weeks, in a row. 80 percent more teenage girls are hospitalized for depression, compared to ten years ago. And the CDC reports that one in five teens will consider suicide, and one in ten will make a serious attempt. What are the warning signs of these illnesses? How can parents help? And can kids help each other?
